I knew I wanted to be more than a “performer”…
Music was born into me. I can’t pinpoint a time when I “got into” music, because somehow the music had already gotten into me.
The paths of choral singing, operatic training, folk and pop songs on my guitar all unlocked glimpses into the bliss and coherence that come from music - but at the same time I knew that there was more we could do with this human sonic technology
My first music therapy teacher was a doula for both birth and death, and I awakened to a vision of using music to guide people through the most powerful transitions and cycles of this life.
Gradually through my training as a music therapist, deep studies in Medical Qigong, Womb Wisdom, and Vajrayana Yogic paths, a glimmer of the Rose Petaled Path began to coalesce.
Voice Of my Womb was (re)born as an answer to the needs of our time. It was crafted as a sacred site for the women emerging into their power and calling to themselves Keys to the path of feminine practice. In the desert of late-stage-patriarchy women everywhere are crafting oases to halt the degeneration and plant renewal.
I’m grateful to now offer the tools I’ve learned for convening circles of song to honor our lives and wombs together…

"This most recent round of work, Voice of My Womb - The Rose Petalled Path, was absolutely beyond the beyond. I joined it while in the midst of a personal crisis which left me feeling as though I'd been sucked dry of any creative juices. I told Marya in my application I was worried I may not ever write a song again.
Despite (or perhaps even because of) my deep chi depletion, Marya welcomed me with open arms, and thus began a journey not only back to my voice, but back to my true self.
Being held in an extended container, continuously concentrating upon the wisdom of the womb gates and the emergence of the muse unlocked previously untapped realms of inspiration and insight within me, and by the close of the container, I was as if reborn, alive again with song and story, creativity pulsing through each breath.
